The Department of Statistics and Community Development in the Emirate of Sharjah was established in 2014 under the Emiri Decree no. (7) as the official statistical office in the Emirate, with the extended responsibility of collecting and analyzing data on all sectors of society. Prior to 2014, the Statistical Centre was established in 2012 under the Emiri Decree no. (4), which was responsible for data collection. The data collected is safeguarded as per the data confidentiality clause contained in Articles 10 and 12 of Law (4), 2014.

This service allows the customer to request training and specialized courses in the statistical field that help build the capacities and competencies of those working in government and semi-government institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah and in the United Arab Emirates.

This service enables the application of consultation in surveys, studies and opinion polls in terms of objectives and methodologies, design of forms and samples, as well as the mechanism of implementation and presentation of results. The service also allows to review the statistics produced by the authorities in different fields and the method of preparing statistical indicators and any other consultations in the field of statistical work carried out by the Department.
This service allows customers to request an opinion poll on any topic through the implementation of the field work and the preceding stages of preparation of methodologies, samples and questionnaires. Through this service, the proposed cost and duration of the poll are produced
