About Sharjah Census

The Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD) in the Emirate of Sharjah is conducting the Sharjah Census 2022 in October 2022, to collect data on the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the population, and on the condition, characteristics, and geographical locations of buildings, housing and facilities. The DSCD will then evaluate, analyze and publish the census output. In all the census stages, quality control will be considered, namely the planning, design, team management, data collection, results extraction and documentation

Tehdeeth

DSCD will provide His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, with a detailed statistical report on the final results that portrait a comprehensive picture of the Emirate status. It will also present to him another special report on the living standards of the Emirate nationals and a nominal list of their social categories. DSCD will also provide their Excellencies the Crown Prince, the Ruler’s deputies and members of Sharjah Executive Council with a detailed statistical report on the final results, to enable them set up policies and take decisions.

The DSCD will also provide its partners of government departments with a statistical report on the main final results or specific topics that enable them to identify the status of the emirate and help them in the planning and execution processes. It will also provide the main final results to all other parties or individuals such as researchers, scholars and media professionals, and publishes some of the outputs on the official websites of the Government of Sharjah and the open data platform.
